What is the difference between the control unit and the arithmetic unit?

arithmetic and control unit together called processor.

arithmetic unit performs such operations like add,sub,mul,div,comparison.logical operations and so on.

control unit controls the all other unit  and give the instructions to the other unit which operation that the unit have to be done.

Arithmetic unit in a processor helps to perform arithmetic operations such as addition,subtraction,multiplication and division.

Control unit in a processor helps to send and receive signals to the system components and peripherals what to do with the data.
