  1. myoglobin is a oxygen carrying pigment of muscle tissue.n its a single chain molecule(monomeric).its oxygen carrying capacity is unaffected by oxygen pressure.person having its greater conc.can hold his breath longer.

while hemoglobin is oxygen carrying (tetramer of heme)molecule of blood.n its binding with oxygen is strongly affected by oxygen pressure.it is that quality of hemoglobin which allow it to carry oxygen from lungs to peripheral tissues.i.e from higher to lower pressure of oxygen.

  2. myoglobin is a single heme molecule in muscle that holds oxygen to meet the high metabolic requirements of that tissue. Hemoglobin is a heme tetramer that transports oxygen from the lungs to peripheral tissues.
