What is the difference between the linksys WRT54Gv1. v2. and v3. wireless router ?

I dont get what makes the Linksys WRT54G v1. v2. and v3. router different form each other. Also is the linksys WRT54G2 router better than the regular WRT54G wireless router and why is it better? Also which one is better for xbox live?

To the average person, it really won't matter.  For xbox live, it shouldn't matter.

The main difference is they will have different brands of circuit boards, wireless transcievers, processors, etc. inside of them - which only really matters if you plan to modify them or install your own firmware (such as DD-WRT).  If you don't understand what I just said, then don't worry about it because the version won't affect how it works for you.

The newer the version, the CHEAPER they get...and they just turn to garbage when cisco buys linksys.

The best router ever manufactured by linksys is the WRT54GS v1.1

Most memory or ram and rom, the most powerful amp and most powerful processor.

Flash it with DDWRT and you will no longer have any problems, EVER.

Well, since it has the faster process, most powerful amp and so on....then THIS is the router to go with.
