What is the difference between the police and the metro police today?

I was under the impression that the Metro police is like the old "speed cops". Is that true?

All I know is they are the most corrupt, rude and brainless police force in the world...

There have been numerous complaints about them with regards to abusing motorists - accepting bribes etc.

But what can be expected when the Chief of the Metro Police is:

ROBERT MC BRIBE (I mean Bride)....

Police is the normal guys that handle robbery's and murders and so on.

Metro does the job of traffic police in the larger metropolitan areas, they also respond on emergency's.

I do not understand how your police system works, but I am from Alaska and we police ourselves.  I am allowed a concealed handgun and I am well trained to have it.  It is legal and the only time I had to fire it was at our local firing range.  Our police here are nice and very helpful.  I want to visit other places and have good police protection.
