  1. Cyclones are much larger typically than a tornadoe and especially one with the effects of the Myanmar disaster.

  2. A cyclone is a low pressure weather system, covering a large area. The intensity of the weather associated is affected by the drop in pressure.

A tornado is a very localised phenomena by comparison to a cyclone. A strong depression (or cyclone) may lead to the formation of tornadoes.

  3. The cyclone in Myamar would be a hurricane in Arkansas.

  4. A cyclone, typhoon is exactlly like a hurricane we have in the U.S. It's a large swirling storm that forms over warm tropical oceans places that stay warm all year around and hit land.

A tornado is a isolated storm that happens with strong thunderstorms that occur when hot humid air (air that is sticky)and cold air collide. Some storms form funnel clouds called tornadoes. A tornado unlike  a cyclone, typhoon or hurricane affects only a small isolated area while a cyclones, typhoons and hurricanes can affect a whole state or region.

A tornado can only affect Miami Beach Florida atany one time while a hurricane could effect the whole state of Florida at  any one time.

  5. a cyclone in the pacific is what we would refer to as a hurricane.
