I'm looking into buying a digital SLR camera

and there's 2 online but I don't know what the difference is between them, except for the price and one part of the name

one is the Canon Digital Rebel XTi

and the other is the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

what does the EOS mean? and why is that camera $130 more?

  1. They are the same camera body.

Is it the same store?  It could be one includes the kit lens and the other is body only.  Some stores also charge more for the one that has a black plastic body than it does for the silver plastic body version.  Without links to the two cameras, we can't say exactly why one is $130 more.  Could you post the link to the two cameras and I'll tell you exactly why they are priced differently and if one or both stores should be avoided.

BTW: EOS stands for Electro-Optical System.  It's the name Canon uses for their Auto-focus line of 35mm and Digital SLR cameras.
