What is the difference between computer systems engineering, computer engineering and computer hardware engineering?

  1. Your best bet would be to ask your Dean of Engineering but I'll try to decipher what these are to the best of my knowledge.

    Computer Systems Engineering::  gives the impression of networking, maybe some industrial process automation

    Computer engineering::  hmmm  maybe diagnostics?

    Computer Hardware Engineering::  May have a strong electrical component of building circuit boards, processing chips and what not.  If it is a technical school, it may be more oriented towards the installation of prefabbed hardware, changing out graphics cards.  May also include things such as what hardware component go into computers and what their roles are.
