I will be taking calculus this year. The required text is Thomas' Calculus 11th edition. But the directions are ambiguous as to whether to get "Thomas' Calculus" or "Thomas' Calculus media upgrade". They are both 11th edition. Does anyone know what the difference between these two books is? Any information is appreciated.

  1. I usually finds the CDs not that helpful....  at your level, you should not have to rely on the CD anyway.  If you do want to refer to it from time to time, I'm sure you can find a copy in your school's library.

    good luck

  2. media upgrade usually refers to a cd  or dvd.   so get  both if u can.
