  1. The difference between the file systems are the features they provides and where they are used.

FAT is the traditional file system used with MD-DOS and floppy disks in the '80s.

FAT32 is just a variation of FAT that just allows you to format and access higher capacity hard disks (more than 2GB AFAIK).

FAT/FAT32 file systems are still used by windows (not recommended though), USB drives, SD cards, MP3 players etc.

NTFS file system is a high performance file system with additional features. It provides faster file indexing, built-in security for files and folders, file system level compression and built-in encryption and more. NTFS is the preferred file system for windows (except for windows 95/98).

CDFS is the file system used for CD-ROMs. Includes stuff like storing CRC and error correction information.

  2. i know not much about CDFS, perhaps it used cd to run or external.

as for fat, it is an old version of system used.Fat32 is currently used while ntfs is the latest. fat and fat32 use for daily normal used and are easily to view of many others computer system but  it has low capacity. u can use it to copy things below 2GB if not mistake while for ntfs, newer and high capacity. u needed ntfs if u are heavy downloader or gamers.
