A Composite AV cable, and a Component AV cable?

Both are for the iPod, but whats the difference?

  1. Composite AV has 1 channel for video, and 2 for sound. Component has 3 for video, and 2 for sound.

    Composite is for StandardDefinitionTV, and Component is for HighDefinitionTV.

  2. Composite is lower quality, but not all TV's support component.  Composite is Red, White and Yellow.  Component is Red Blue and Green.  If your TV has component, get it, if not, get composite.
