What is the difference between these two cameras?

i had the elph and it worked fine but the other is way cheaper with a better zoom and same megapixel and image stabalization. the elph is for more easy to use start up photography cause its easy and fits in your pocket and is more popular cause its easy to carry around and take quick pics. i think the cheaper one would be best in this case cause its a lot of money and you'll get the same quality

but my cousin has the second and eh the pictures come out

why not get a sony dsc t300?

i would suggest you take a visit to your local camera shop and shoot off a few pictures from both of these cameras and compare.
