  1. Third party insurance will pay for your car if it has been stolen or set on fire. If you have a crash that is your fault, they will only pay for the other persons car. You will have to pay for your own repairs.

    Fully comprehensive insurance will pay out for all situations. It will however cost more!

    Only get fully comprehensive insurance if your car is worth a £1000 or more ish.


  2. 3rd party means it will be a separate company from your current insurance company. So you would have 2 insurance companies for the same car.

    Comprehensive is the type of coverage, it means it covers the whole car, regardless of how it is damaged.
