  1. Transcendentalism is less strictly philosophical than Romanticism. The latter influenced the former, no doubt, but transcendentalism looks at the spiritual aspects of the human existence, while romanticism was a movement in the arts and literature.


  2. Transcendentalism is not as romantic, but it is much more comforting ... and you may need it when the romance is over!
