What is the difference between turnover and ticket sales in cinemaI saw this sentence in an article ?

"annual turnover of over Rs.2,100 crore ($460 million) on ticket sales of 70 crores."

  1. Any ticket purchased in cinema hall,having two portions one is Nett and other is Tax. The  nett amount it is between Distibutor and Exibitor, if Distibutor has taken a cinema on hire He will paythe Exibitor theTheaterhire,or he has given the film to the Exibitor on Percentage,he will ask the Exhibitor, for his share after deducting Publicity,Local Taxes etc.

      


  2. annual turnover means it includes ticket sales,audio sales sales on television cable etc(it means all the promos)!!

    that is the reason for the big difference between the two!!
