  1. The UFC which is the name of the company is the acronmy for Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The Ultimate Fighter or TUF is a reality show on spike tv.Where fighters compete for a UFC contract.

The Numbers indicate which UFC event they are on.It goes in numerical order. from 1 to infinity I suppose.

  2. UFC is the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is a huge corporation that has MMA fights.

UFC 86 and other numbers represent Pay-Per-View UFC fights that are aired.. they go in order. UFC 1 was the first, UFC 2 was the second, and so on..

The Ultimate Fighter is a reality show. The winner of the show gets a six-figure contract with The Ultimate Fighting Championship. They just finished the 7th season a couple days ago.

The 8th season starts later this year.. I think in September? But I may be wrong. It's around then though.

  3. ufc IS the Ultimate fighting Championship.  The Ultimate Fighter is a reality show that the ufc (ulit.fight.champ.) came up with to find new fighters (they comete for a contract each season).

They don't say 'ultimate figher 86'...

They DO say 'ultimate fighter seaon 1' (or whatever)

They also DO say 'UFC 86"... Every month they have a new card on PPV.  Sometimes they'll have 2 a month - but VERY rarely.  Those are usually the bigger names - title fighting.

Also, they have a "UFC Fight Night" that is free.  They're sporratic though... you have to check your local listing for dates/channels.  Once in awhile you get a bigger name fighting but a title usually isn't involved.

If you see "UFC Unleashed" that is just a compilation of fights (sometimes recent, sometimes not) that they will air...  Hosted (usually) by Mike Goldberg.  Sorta like a "best of..."

    Hope this helps.

  4. check it out. UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship, so your first two are the same thing, right? The UFC gives their shows numbers, so UFC 86 was the 86th pay per view since the beginning of the UFC. So UFC 63 was before UFC 86. Finally, The Ultimate Fighter (internet fodder says TUF all the time) is the UFC's reality show for up and coming fighters, and gives them the opportunity to fight for a six figure contract with the ufc. Its tournament style, with 16 fighters in the same house living together and training in two seperate teams, and these teams are coached by UFC stars. The first round you have only one team vs. the other in fights, but if one team wins 5 of the fights and the other only 3, obviously someone will have to fight their teammate. Format is simple: win, you move on. Lose, you get to stay in the house and continue to learn from your coach and train with them, but your shot at the guaranteed contract is over. Usually the show pumps out a few good fighters, which the UFC also signs to contracts.

  5. UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship. The Ultimate Fighter is a TV show, where people get a chance to get a contract with a UFC. But they have to fight others to do so.

Its not Ultimate Fighter 89, Its UFC 86, or w.e. Get your facts straight. its UFC __

  6. ok the UFC  is the ultimate fighting championship its the actual company and the ultimate fighter is a test u could say to see if u could make it into the UFC the and its UFC 86 not ultimate fighter 86
