  1. There are a lot of differences. You can talk about geographical differences...like the size, the position, etc. You can also talk about the difference between the people; the food; weather and more.


  2. If you are doing an essay, then here are some areas of concentration that are vital for you:

    1. The international airport (Tocumen  formally known as  Torrijos International Airport).

    2. The currency - for bills it is the dollar and for coins it is the Balboa.

    3. Exhange rate is 1 Balboa to 1 Dollar.

    4. Levels of education.

    5. National holidays.

    6. The local fish. They are as follows:

    - - (a) Corvina is siliar to the sea bass that is back in the US.

    - - (b) Guavina is thiner than the Corvina

    - - (c) El Dorado is smiliar to the Mahi Mahi that is in the US.

    7. The ground meat how it used to cost in 1984 $1.86 per pound and now it is at $2.09 per pound.

    8. A taxi ride will cost you, to go to your hotel, approximately $25.00 if you take it from the airport (over there in Panama) versus paying $30 or more from your local airport going home.

    9. Although the United States has 4 seasons, Panama only has two and they are the rainny season (which is January to April) and the sunny season (from May to December)
