  1. You already asked this, and I answered it.

    There is no real difference between the two terms. "voltage" can be used for both.

    In fact, I've been an engineer for many many years, and never used the term EMF !!


  2. EMF = Electromotive Force is a difference in potential generally provided by a battery of generator.

    Voltage or voltage drop is how the EMF is consumed by a circuit.

    Aside from this source/load distinction, there is no real difference, since both are measured in volts.

    The sum of the voltage drops in a series circuit must add up to be the applied EMF.
