    Cream is a dairy product that is composed of the higher-butterfat layer skimmed from the top of milk before homogenization.

    Cream with 30% or more fat can be turned into whipped cream by mixing it with air.

    In the United States, cream is usually sold as:

        * Half and half (10.5–18% fat)

        * Light, coffee, or table cream (18–30% fat)

        * Medium cream (25% fat)

        * Whipping or light whipping cream (30–36% fat)

        * Heavy whipping cream (36% or more)

        * Extra-heavy or manufacturer's cream (38–40% or more), generally not available at retail except at some warehouse stores.


  2. Cream is the top of the butter fat in the milking  process. it is floating on the top of the milk once it is extracted from the cow. (ever heard   CREAM OF THE CROP? that is where it comes from )  it can be made into whipped cream and it is the same as whipping cream,

    whipped cream is just that whipped( if you get it in a can they have added Co2 to make it whip when you shake it.

    Contains 5% butter fat can be whipped it contains enough butter fat in its molecules to keep in whipped. but not forever it can go flat. then it must be shaken again or re whipped.

    HOWEVER if you whip cream to long , you end up with butter the next stage of the cream process.

    whipping cream is the same as whipped cream once it is whipped.

  3. whipping cream is a liquid and once beaten with mixer and sugar it becomes whipped cream

    and just cream...is like 1/2 and 1/2 ....used for coffee etc
