I really want my future children growing up with a a good Christian education ( I dont mind if they learn about other religions but they must have a good foundation in Christianity) I consider myself a prodistant and salvation can only be attained through Jesus. I don't want to send them to a Catholic school because I don't want them thinking that repetitive praying grants them salvation ( no offence to Catholics)

so what is the difference among all the other Christian school sects?

  1. What is a "good christian education" and how does it differ from other "good educations" exactly?

  2. Lutheran schools are accredited by the North Central Accredidation Association, which is the same group who accredits public schools.  Lutheran teachers have all completed at least their bachelors degree in Education, and are also trained in Christian Education.  Teachers will have graduated from one of the Concordia University system of schools and will be called to their position by the church's board of education.  The level of teaching and education your child will recieve will be top notch.

Many of your generic "Christian" schools do not follow state certification procedures, they are not always certified in what they are teaching, and many teachers are not even trained.  I have known Elementary Education teachers being asked to teach HS level classes because they needed a warm body.  There's a 4th grade teacher at a school in Co. who hasn't even gone to college! (Mom has custody and when Dad found out that's where he was paying for the child to go to school he lost it!)

I'm not saying they are all like that, but you must be very careful when choosing one of these schools.

The Lutheran systems are very much like what you would find in Catholic schools... top notch.

    Good luck!
