  1. Most cars are FWD and the rims can fit on RWD cars.  But most RWD rims don't fit on FWD cars because the rim is inverted and is offset by an inch or so, making the wheel look like it is poking out of the car.

Some RWD rims will ruin the wheel bearings, studs, and CV joints if put on FWD cars.

  2. "All FWD(Front Wheel Drive) and RWD(Rear Wheel Drive) is referring to is the OFFSET of the wheel. It does not matter which wheels propel the vehicle, or if the vehicle is Jet-Powered a vehicle still has an Offset, either FWD Offset or RWD Offset."  See the site below for pictures

  3. no such thing as EITHER FWD or RWD TIRES,LOL!

tires are tires and it's the drive mechanism that determine WHICH set of tires are the "DRIVE" tires.

  4. the wheels will fit on both front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. the difference between the both are front wheel drive, the front wheels do the pulling and on rear wheel drive the back wheels do the pulling.

  5. The offset is different between FWD and RWD, usually. If you look at a front-drive wheel, the center comes out to the outer rim, while on a rear-drive, the wheel center is more towards the center of the rim. There are always exceptions, of course, And sometimes the RWD look like they're offset as much as a FWD. Putting the wrong wheel on can wear out your wheel bearings and tires and cause poor handling.

  6. lol, the wheels are the same...lol

  7. This indicates whether it is the front or the rear wheels which drive the car...

  8. the backspacing is differnt. You can sometimes get away with using the fwd wheel on rwd but sits in way far.
