  1. A hurricane is a very strong storm with an eye, wall, and other parts. However, a cyclone is like a tornado. Hope this helps!

  2. Cyclone is an atmospheric closed circulation rotating counter-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.

The term hurricane is used for Northern Hemisphere tropical cyclones east of the International Dateline to the Greenwich Meridian.

These Storms are in the Cyclone Famliy, because of the atmospheric closed circulation rotation.

A Tornado and a Typhoon is also in the same famliy.

  3. Just the region it's occurring in.  hurricanes, Typhoons and cyclones are the same storms in different regions and there's no universal scale on which ot measure them.  In North America we rate them 1-5.
