  1. you have to ask the tour agent about the schedule , where  and when to go in the cruise .

if it is going  and returning to the same place , it is sailing more .

if it is going to new places like Abu Simbel Temples , it is seeing more sites .

it is a good idea to stay in Sharm after or before the cruise .

you would enjoy a lovely vaccation there .

going to Cairo will enable you and your family to see the historical monuments there .

February is a good choice to enjoy cool weather .

    enjoy your trip.

  2. There is a difference of 3 days!

  3. i am egyptian and u can spend a very beautiful days with your family if u know how to use your time accurately.

here u r some suggestions about the places

1.cairo and giza(egyptian museum, sphinx, pyramids, khan elkhalily and the citadel of salah el dine

2.Alexandria(u can enjoy the sea, bibliotheca Alexandria and the citadel of kaitbay

    3.sinai(red sea,sharm resorts,hiking )

4.luxor (u can do a nile cruise 4 one day it is enough ,u can enjoy lots of egyptian monuments)

    good luck

  4. 72 hours, bound to see more.

  5. We don't have 7 days Nile cruise here

    it is either 4days / 3nights Aswan-Luxor or 5dyas/4nights Luxor-Aswan

Maybe they intend to sell you a round trip (Aswan-Luxor-Aswan) which is nonsense and waste of money as you won't see more attractions/sites ... it is the same route with the same program

Recommended plan , Cairo 4 days - Fly to Aswan - Aswan-Luxor cruise then from Luxor fly to Sharm for 7 days .... this would be amazing

  6. 3 days

  7. I did the 4 nights cruise last March.. I was fabulous.. I guess the 7 night will give u more places to see, u would also go to Abu Simbel and other great places.

If you have enough time and you are more interested in the history part of Egypt, then by all means enjoy the 7 day one.. However, if you would fancy a change and seeing as much as you can of Egypt while you are there, then do the 4 days as it would show you all the main places (Karnak, Luxor temple, Isna, etc) and then go to Cairo (if you prefer to see the lively 24 hr city and the Egyptian Museum and countless outings) or Sharm El Sheikh, Hurgada, Taba, etc (if you fancy a memorable fun at a fascinating beach)

    I wish you enjoy

  8. Problem with a lot of the cruises is that they like to keep you on board to spend your money on the ship.

They also try to organise your sightseeing so that you get whisked around with out much chance to see anything other than the souvenir shops.

Best way to do it is wait until you arrive and ask people in your hotel, or even those coming off the ships what it was like. It will only take you an hour or two to realise which are the good and the bad.

An alternative is to see Cairo and then take the train down to Luxor (first class is cheaper than our standard class)

  9. i suggest you take just  the 4 day cruise. and the rest of the days spend it better sight seeing on ur own, u know without the tour guide? just ask around or buy a map or get a magazine that has the addresses of all the cool places u can go see and go by a cab to wherever u want and enjoy ur time there instead of spending most of ur time at the gift shop and the likes of that. i don't like those much...waste of time. cairo has a lot of nice old places besides the pyramids. there's the Coptic and the Islamic old places there. the old markets etc etc

  10. the 4 nights is either Luxor/Aswan or Aswan/Luxor depends on the sailing date. The 7 nights cruise is either Aswan/Luxor/Aswan Or Luxor/Aswan/Luxor.

If u want more information u can visit www.sonesta.com then go to egypt section then choose nile cruises then choose any one of their nile cruise ships and view its different itineraries or just go to this site as an example:
