What is the difference in olive oil to other oils/fats/butters/greases and what are its benefits?

  1. Your body needs some fat, for your brain, your spinal cord and to protect your organs.

    Animal fat is bad (clogs the arteries). So you should avoid the fat in meat, butter, milk, eggs...

    The fat from fruits, nuts and fish is good.

    I love the fatty part of my steamed salmon...and I love fatty avocado with olive oil and some wine vinegar...yummy.


  2. Olive oil has more monounsaturated fats in it. The calories are the same, but monounsaturated is healthier for the heart.
