  1. The only performance difference is the amount of shots per tank, the 4500 psi tank will offer more shots per refill, and yes a 4500 psi tank can be filled by a 3000 psi filling system but then theres no point of having a 4500 psi tank since it will only be filled at 3000 psi.


  2. The difference is the pressure, and often the material they are made of. A 4500 psi (pounds per square inch) tank will get more shots per fill than a 3000psi tank, that's if they are both the same cubic inch (ci). Also, A 4500 psi tank will always be made from carbon fiber, whereas a 3000psi tank can be made from steel or carbon fiber because steel is only capable of reliably holding back 3000psi, and more pressure would risk weakening the metal.

    And yes, you can fill a 4500psi tank to 3000psi. The 4500 is the max amount of psi the tank is designed for, it can be filled lower than that if you wanted to.
