I'm starting to rethink my weight loss goals because I think what I've wanted is simply not going to get me where I want to be (nothing will, actually). I know 20 pounds of muscle is a lot, but for my own peace of mind, I'm wondering how much my body would change in size if I gained 20 lbs of muscle and lost roughly 50 lbs of fat. I'm 6'3", 240 lbs...the last time I had my body comp tested, I was about 167 lbs lean weight (this was about six years ago, but I doubt I have added muscle since then).

  1. 20 pounds is 20 pounds, no matter what form it is.You would lose 30 pounds if you gained 20 pounds of muscle and lost 50 pounds of fat.

  2. 20lb of fat would be about 22% bigger in size than 20lb of muscle.

    20lb of fat = 22.2ml

    20lb of muscle = 18.2ml
