an STD and UTI? My DH and I have been married for 10 years, we were treated for STD before we got married and been clean since then. Last weekend was the first time in a month we had s*x because he was on TDY. Anyway 3 days later he called telling me he has pain when urinating, frequent urge to urinate, and trickle of blood after urination. I told him it might be UTI. I have been faithful to my DH. I read about the symptoms of STD and urination part is the same symptom as STD except the trickle of blood part. What exactly is the difference in symptoms between UTI and STD? It looks about the same except UTI has abdominal pain and blood trickle after urination.

  1. It's possible that its either. Or it could be a symptom of something even more serious. In any case, he'll probably need some treatment and should get to the doctor asap!

    Good luck!

  2. Either way he has to go to the doctor to be treated, so let the doctor diagnose him. I know that sounded and I didn't mean for it to be so harsh. I was just thinking it would be more private.

  3. He might have a kidney infection, OR kidney stones; both can cause the symptoms of pain upon urination, frequent urination or blood in the urine. Clearly these are not related to an STD.

Stop stressing...he's not cheating on you.
