What is the difference in UV strength during the day

  1. When the sun is overhead, at noon, it travels through the least atmosphere, and the UV strength would be the strongest.  At sunup and sundown, the light is traveling slantwise through the atmosphere to reach you, and the UV is at it's weakest.
