  1. Freshness.  The trays are usually ground in-store.

  2. nothing, they're both ground beef

  3. nothing except  the roll  is  larger....

  4. The tubes are mass produced somewhere other then the store. It's why we hear so much about tainted meat. The trays of burger are ground in store which means fresher and better tasting meat. A great hint....Buy roasts or round steaks when they are on sale and have them ground for you at the meat counter! Round steak is lean and tastes great and can be found on sale for as cheap as $.99 a pound!

  5. The packaging??

Sorry, couldn't resist. I prefer the beef on trays so I can see what I'm getting. I've had pieces of bone in the roll kind before.

  6. THEY ARE DIFERENT TYPES OF MEAT.

THE TRAY IS CHEAPER AND HAS MORE FAT AND SCRAPS IN IT, AND THE OTHER HAS LESS FAT BUT STILL HAS SCRPAS FROM THE REST OF THE MEAT THEY HAVE LEFT OVER.

ALWAYS GET THE MEAT YOU WANT AND HAVE THEM GRIND IT FOR YOU AT THE SAME MOMENT.

  7. Probably nothing, but I don't trust the rolls. You can't see what your getting.

  8. trays are fresher, rolls are prepackaged and shipped in from the stores warehouse (wherever it may be?)

I usually get the roll but only cuz it's always buy 1 get 1 free. It tastes the same to me.. it's all about how u season it!! :)
