What is the difference in these two DSLR cameras?

the A100  was the first entry level D/SLR from sony this has now been replaced with the A200. basically this years model with little between them.

other than the A100 will be cheaper as its Old stock dating back to 2006 while the A200 is 2008 spec.

go with  canon... its better and the a200 is just an updated version of the a100 ...i think?

The A200 is the new version of the A100. You can read a comprehensive review of the A200, A300 and A350 in the August 2008 issue of Shutterbug Magazine or at http://www.shutterbug.com.

For approximately $100.00 more you can buy the A300 which has Live View.

Unless you have a legacy of minolta AF kit then i would strongly advise you look no further than Canon or Nikon.

I am a canon man, but'll grudgingly give a heads up to Nikon.

No other brands matter at this level.
