What is the difference made by changing lenses on a camera?

i am an ametur photographer. i just got my first dslr camera and i am wondering what kind of differences changing the lens makes.

and if you could show me pictures taken with different lenses please.

  1. Besides, quality and reputation a couple things:

    Focal length (wide angle, zoom, portrait)

    Lens speed (maximum aperature). The lower the number, the less light you need.  A lower number is called "fast."

    A zoom lens will have the ability to change focal lengths, but you normally give up lens speed. The maximum aperature is often only be f/3.5. A 50mm f/1.4 lens can operate in 3x less light. So with a 50 f/1.4 I can take a photo indoors at ISO 400. With the zoom, you need ISO 3200.

  3. The lense is pretty much what makes the picture!

    Say you want to take a picture of a person who is far away from u and u only have a 18-55 zoom lense u wouldnt get close to them but say u had a big 70-300 zoom lense u can see there nose hairs
