What is the difference of an SD/card from A SDHC/card?

  1. I believe the SDHC has a faster write speed. There will be less delay between shots. A 1GB SD card and a 1GB SDHC card will hold the same amount of data.


  2. SD are usually 2 - 4 gb and less, and SDHC are higher. Certain Cameras can only accept regular SD. Less costly digital camera can only use a 2 gb at the most. DSLR you can use SD - SDHC. Check your camera what kind of card can be used to it. If you don't find SDHC, then just get 2 gb or less and not the SDHC.

  3. SDHC is a new format capable of storing larger capacities, it is not backwards compatible with SD, most new cameras and camcorders support SDHC, check the box; or website you are buying from

    most cameras that support SDHC will take an 'old fashioned' SD card
