  1. exothermic puts out heat

    endothermic absorbs heat.

  2. Exothermic chemical change means that this change has resulted in the release of heat energy (e.g. by breaking bonds between atoms). If you're reacting something in a beaker for example, the beaker will feel warmer afterwards as it is radiating heat outwards into your hand.

Endothermic means energy has been absorbed (e.g. into the formation of new bonds between atoms). The beaker will feel colder after this reaction.

  3. in an exothermic change system release heat energy(temperature gets high) but in endothermic it takes heat from outside the system.
