What is the difference of the sun's path for the same day in alberta,canada and mexico?

Mexico is closer to the Equator and the Sun is high overhead year round and little difference in sunrise, sunset and daylight hours.  Alberta is much further north.  In the winter especially the Sun is closer to the Southern Horizon and daylight hours are shorter verses summer daylight hour being much longer.
