What is the difference on Kicker solo-baric L7 that has 2ohm to a 4ohm??

is there a difference? will the 4 be louder than the 2 ohm?

  1. they r impedances for example ....u have a 2 ohm l7 this means u can run the woofer by itself at 1ohm stable(which is usually the most universal way to get maximum power out of an amp)...if u get 2 2ohm stable l7s then u can run the woofers at 2ohms stable ..in this case i suggest u get a kicker amp because they r 2 ohms stable and can run more power to the woofer for less money ....a 4ohm l7 is vica versa to the 2ohm sub because with a single u run the woofer at 2ohms stable and with 2 l7s u that r 4ohm u run them at 1 ohm stable ..............bottom line is if u want 2 l7s get the 4ohm versions if u want 1 l7 get the 2 ohm version .....using this idea u will maximize output and save money ....good luck


  2. It is the impedence rating for the voice coil in subs. Which one you need depends on the configuration of the amp that is going to power them.
