  1. Tia means "Aunt" in Spanish. Tea means " Gift of God". You can't tell ( Tia) that her name means "Gift of God"because her name means "Aunt".  Hope this helps.

  2. The girl's name Tea \tea\ is pronounced TAY-ah. It is of Italian origin. Short form of Teresa and Teadora, made familiar by actress Téa Leoni. Also possibly variant of Thea (Greek) "goddess" or short form of Dorotea (Greek) "gift of God".

the girl's name Tia \tia\ is pronounced TEE-ah. It is of Spanish origin, and its meaning is "aunt". Short form of Cinthia (Spanish), also a short form of names like Tiana, Laetitia and Lucretia.  examples are Actresses Tia Carrere; twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry.
