What is the difference when you take a pregnancy when first wake up rather than later in the day?

Picture a can of lemondade mix.....If the mix is the pregnancy hormone without adding water, would you want to detect HCG in its most concentrated form or after adding water. Then add more than the recommended water to the lemondade to detect the HCG. You can see that the level of HCG becomes more and more diluted. So while you can detect the hormone in the afternoon you have the best possible chance of picking it up with the fist morning urine that is less watered down.

It is recommended to take a pregnancy test in the morning because your urine is more concentrated after holding it all night.

Your HCG levels are at their highest in the a.m. due to concentration in the urine.  It really doesn't matter at certain stages when the levels are high enough, but in the beginning, you can pick it up in the a.m. when it may not register later in the day.
