  1. IT TAKES ONE TO SET THE OTHER OFF

  2. nuclear/atomic are fusion

    hydrogen is fission

  3. Nuclear:  generic term, as in nuclear weapons, both atom and H are nuclear.

Atom:  Mere fission device.  Historically came first. (Los Alamos Project) Usage examples:  Nagasaki, Hiroshima.  Can blast a circle about 6-8 mi diam, with impressive, but not total destruction.  Usually "dirty".

Hydrogen:  Fusion device.  Much more powerful than atom.  Came second.  Not yet used on a city.  Theoretical range up to 16 miles, with almost total destruction.  Can be made into a neutron bomb, which destroys life, without causing too much property damage.  Can be made very "dirty" or relatively "clean".

  4. Atomic and Hydrogen bombs are both Nuclear.

The Atom bomb is the FISSION of Uranium 235.

The Hydrogen bomb (more powerful than the atom bomb), is the FUSION of Atoms of Deuterium (Heavy Hydrogen), into Atoms of Helium.

  5. Fission vs Fission + Fusion.

Basically, an H Bomb uses an A Bomb to ignite it, just to get the party started.
