  1. there is no difference both are terms for the same thing

for good info on setting one up go to the articals at

    www.drsfostersmith.com

the info there will help you decide what you need to do to get started

  2. Like Ilriffel says, there is no difference between a marine and saltwater tank, they're both the same, unless you meant freshwater comparing with the saltwater tank.

Anyways, the cost for setting up a tank for 29 gallons would be depending on what type of equipment that you want running, example, UV Sterilizer, protein skimmer, canister or regular hang on filter, undregravel filter, etc. etc. etc.

It's not the equipment thats costly, what's costly for maintaining saltwater fish tanks is the fish and the necessity things that you have to keep on buying that makes this hobby for saltwater so expensive. So like I said, it really depends on what you plan on running in your aquarium.

Yes, clownfishes and dwarf seahorses will get along fine, however, if you are new to this hobby, I will not recommend seahorses due to the proper care needed and how fragile the seahorses are makes it tough.

If you want to know the difference between freshwater and saltwater fish tank, the difference is that saltwater fish tanks needs more care. The maintenance is much harder.

Anyways, I hope this helps a little, Thanks for asking......................

  3. There are 2 ways to set up, one is with a coral reef, the other without. The live rock has many live plants and animals living on it to attract certain species of fish. Certain fish need a reef to survive. The other type without live rock/coral id usually larger fish that don't need live rock to survive. You need to decide what kind of fish you want to have and research their needs and that will lead you to the proper tank setup.

  4. A marine tank says please and thank you, while the salt water one says "dude, hang ten".

Other than that, I cant help you. Im sorry.
