  1. The question makes no sense.  One is a particular plane, the other is a type of engine.

  2. The B747-400 is a Boeing Jumbo. The pulse jet is a totally different entity in that it is a propulsion jet and not an aircraft.

  3. The question is not a valid question.  Either you misunderstood what your teacher is asking you, or your teacher is confused about concepts in aircraft propulsion.

A Boeing 747-400 is a specific model of airliner.  It's like saying a Honda Accord as opposed to a Civic.

A pulse jet is a specific type of primitive jet engine.  Pulse jets were used briefly about 60-70 years ago to propel flying bombs launched against England by the Germans.  The design and operation of a pulse jet has nothing to do with any similarity or difference between a Boeing 747 and anything else.

You could say the difference between a Boeing 747 and a pulse jet is like the difference between a 38-foot Cadillac limousine with bar and hot tub and a pizza cutter.

There is no comparison nor any field of comparison.  Better check this out with your teacher and make sure you understood the question.
