  1. To begin with HDTV means high def TV all that you mention can display this signal, Plasma is a gas charged HDTV, LCD is liquid crystal display that comes in 2 formats flat panel like a plasma or projection that is similar to DLP the difference is the way the image gets to the screen both LCD and DLP projection have a light source that shines the image to the screen LCD uses small lcd panels 1 or 3 depends on the brand you choose and DLP uses a color wheel combined with the Texas Instruments mirror chip. To make it simple when shopping for a TV go for what fits your room, and wallet (don't waste money getting a flat panel unless you are space deprived or you are really going to hang it on the wall) All these styles of TVs can produce a good HD image just pick the one that gives the best picture to you. Also don't get caught up on brands either even the cheap brands get their parts from the big brands

  2. LCD first of all are flat-panel.  DLP tv's have a foot or so of back to them.

I dunno what kind of info you want but it is all over the net.

    DLP's are cheaper.
