I am trying to figure out which repair manual to buy. The bike belongs to a gentleman I work with and he is not sure.

  1. Hey Matthew~ K5 has a  hydraulic disk brake in front, thicker white stripe on the tank (stripe that goes through the letter O) & a chrome grab rail. Is the paint original? Check out colors listed below.

I poked around & found a lot of info out there, but this site laid it out plain & simple, has progressive codes, numbers, dates etc. along with pics for you to compare. It lists the K5 as a CB350G.

K4:  "Changes: Taillight is larger. Side covers emblems are larger. Seat latch uses a key. Colors: Gentle Maroon Metallic, Candy Bacchus Olive, Candy Gold, Light Ruby Red "

K5: "Changes: White fuel tank stripe is wider. Front brake is hydraulic disk. Upper fork covers are chrome with black fork boots. Side cover emblems are black on white. Chrome grip pipe behind seat. Instruments tilted toward the rider. Colors: Iris Purple Metallic, Tyrolean Green Metallic, Candy Orange"

You can check the engine/frame numbers/ product codes listed & compare them with what you've got. Classic scoot! Best of luck to you & your buddy @ work.
