What is the difficulty level for an individual with no experience to build a 2 or 3 foot high retainer wall?

Are the Retaining wall blocks the easiest way to go? Other suggestions?

  1. I've never built one myself, but I'm going to attempt it in the near future.  Here's a web site that will even help you figure out how many bricks or pavers you need.  Its got a huge amount of information.  Good luck!

  2. building a retaining wall is a simple matter, but then again i have been an assistant to a professional builder for five years.  there are many books available at Loewe's and home depot that will take you thru the process step by step.  choose the one that best fits what it is you will be doing.  good luck

  3. get the wall blocks, they're easy to use and find an instruction guide either at the store or download it online.  

  4. yes and cheapest,if you are trying to hold back alot of dirt you need to fill blocks with motar
