What is the diffrence between s*x offense 1st degree, 2nd degree & 3rd degree??

  1. First, it depends on what the "offense" is...Sexual Battery....Lewd Conduct....Rape...there are literally hundreds of different categories and the meanings of the same term can vary from state to state.

    "3rd degree sexual battery" for example, can mean pinching a woman's rear in one state, but tackling a woman and stealing her underwear in another...

    Also, remember that charges can be reduced as part of a plea bargain.  If you're curious about state law, I'd ask a cop or lawyer....If you're asking because you're checking the record of someone close to you....or your kids...I'd take the time to go to the police station in person and see if information specific to his/her case is available....It'll take time and footwork, but it's that important...
