What is the direct debit agreement on PayPal UK?

How much do you have to pay each month to PayPal? They mention the direct debit agreement quite a few times, but I can't find an information on PayPal UK's direct debit agreement.

If you see a link that helps, please tell me. It might just be me being dosey, but I've looked several times.

  1. It looks as though you've got the wrong end of the stick here.

When you set up your direct debit with PayPal, it allows them to take money from your bank as and when you need to pay for something (eg, you buy an item from eBay).

You can also use it to send money to anyone with an email address (eg, to pay a friend)

There's no monthly fee or anything at all like that - the direct debit only kicks in when you actually buy something or send money to someone.

If you never do either of those things, the direct debit will never be used.

This is the only link I can find for you

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr...

Not much help but it does say

**Once you have set up bank funding, you can use your bank account to pay for eBay items.**

Should you ever decide that you want to sell something on eBay and your buyer pays you with PayPal, you'll find that they deduct a fee before the money even hits your PP account  - this has nothing to do with your direct debit agreement (I only brought this point up because it was mentioned in the reply above).

  2. Depends on what you use paypal for. You can set an account up with direct debit and pay nothing. If you plan to sell on ebay then it will cost whatever they charge
