  1. About 700 miles. The Baja peninsula should belong to California and California should declare it's independence.

  2. 920 miles as the crow flies.

  3. 1170.3 miles

Check the website below for driving directions, the recomendations from the woman that lives there are good, use them well.

  4. Driving to Cabo San Lucas from the southern border of the United States will take you about 20-24 hours on Highway 1 and then a further 2 hours on Highway 19.

And by the way...I've driven in Mexico............fly.

  5. Hola. It is exactly 1085 miles from Tijuana to CSL.  I'm a canadian living in cabo and I have personally made that trip hundreds of times over the past 30 years. I would recommend it. It's very scenic and interesting.

I do however, have some warnings that basically come with common sense.

    Don't drive at night

Don't go off the beaten track and camp by yourself in an isolated area

Don't assume the next gas station has gas

Don't go anywhere without water for you and your car

Don't stop to help anyone....unless you feel very good about it. There is a gov't service that drive tow truck up an down the baja and help stranded motorists for free. They will help them.

Stop at all federal checkpoints and surrender fruits and items not allowed. Firearms and drugs are strictly prohibited in mexico and searches of vehicles happen often at these checkpoints.

Be friendly and courteous to all. You are in their country. Try out spanish. Most can figure out what you want with only a few verbs.

Bring extra supplies. Fan belts, gas, tires etc

    Have a safe trip.
