  1. Sorry, giggiolina, but maybe you do not live in Italy? The Lakes District is not 2000 kms from Rome. It is about 600 to 700 kms from Rome, if we are talking about the area of Lakes Como, Maggiore and Garda. The whole of Italy isn't even 2000 kms long!

  2. I truly recommend our Lake Area...Orta, Maggiore, Varese, Garda, and Como..and if you still have time after Varese Lake, go through the Gaggiolo border and visit the crown jewel of Lake Lugano on the Switzerland side...

We are blessed by living in this wonderful pre-alpine area

I went for a stroll to Lake Como yesterday (from the Lecco province side) and visited Varenna...it was full of Americans..I was so happy!!!  and at Lake Orta there's a lady from California who owns a beautiful soap shop.

    Cheers

  3. lake como is near milan....outside of verona is lake sireone.  verona is closer to rome.

  4. About 600 KM, 6/7 hours by car or train

  5. i think about 2,000 km

sorry i thought you meant the lake district in great britain which is north of england

the distance between england and italy is about 2,000 km

the lenght of italy is about 1,000km

rome to the north of italy about 600km

and yes i'm italian i live in florence

sono italiana scusa credevo volessi dire il lake district nel nord inghilterrra ma se volevi dire i laghi nel nord italia allora sono circa seicento chilometri da roma 400-500 da firenze
