  1. ahmedabad is directly  connected with mumbai.

two trains are directly going form mumbai to kutch

sayajinagari express and another is kutch express.

u have u terminated ur journey at gandhidham station

    another rout is

ahmedabad se state highway se lc7 hoto hu   mundra and kanda ka direct rout hai

  2. mundra is in Kutch district of Gujarat. The distance may be a little over 1000kms.

    you can reach Mundra by..

    1.  bombay>Gandhidham( train) >Mundra(road, 3 hrs)

    2. bombay>ahmedabad(air)>mundra(road)

    mundra has no rail head.

  3. Hi !!

The distance from Mumbai to Mundra is nearly 900 Kmts. Mundra is the port town, where the the port is located 20-25 kmts from city.

You can go to Bhuj or Kandla by air  ( There are 02 flights in noon from Mumbai to Bhuj ( Jet and Go) and 01 in the early morning for Kandla (Deccan)). By taking the Bhuj way u will reach in teh evening and may be ur day will be wasted. Else the Kandla flight will reach at 6-30 in the morning. U can take a taxi and reach Mundra before the start of business hours.

OR Take Kutch Express or Sayajinagri Express from Central and Bandra respectively and reach Gandhidham in teh morning. Take a taxi from station and reach Mundra at 10-30 or so in the morning. OR Take any train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, board State Transport Bus / Private Bus to Gandhidham and again take a taxi. Note that there are no private buses starting from ahmedabad in teh morning.

Dont try by driving ur own vehicle as the traffic between Mumbai-Ahmedabad- Kandla is horrible and road is under construction at many places after Ahmedabad.
