What is the domestic power supply in Iceland?

i'm going to Iceland next week - i assume my UK mobile phone charger wont work over there!

If i take a european power converter will that work?

Does Iceland have the same type of power sockets as mainland europe?

  2. The domestic power supply is 230 volts / 50 hertz.

    Your mobile phone charger from the United Kingdom will work with an adapter, since Island and the U.K., as the rest of Europe, operate on that.

    If you have a U.S. charger and a European power converter it will work, too.

    However, most chargers operate under dual voltage (110-240V/50-60Hz), just take a luck at the label or the technical manual, and you just need to worry about the plug adapter.
