  3. This is a bit of a no brainer (LOL).  About 75% of the Irish population is Roman Catholic.

  4. Roman Catholic, about 90% by subscription. Most of the rest are Protestant, Church of Ireland. There are substantial communities of other Christian denominations, Muslim and other religions in various areas, mainly due to recent immigration from Eastern Europe and Nigeria. There is a several thousand strong Jewish community in Dublin. The vast majority of Irish, New or otherwise, is Catholic, though.

    That's only reckoning by who's been baptised though. Many of those are lapsed Catholics, Mass attendence is at about 50% according to recent polls.
