  1. jeans and a polo would be fine. past vacation some people don't even wear long pants, i saw some wear cargo shorts so i figured i would too and i did for the next resturant. the dress code isn't really that strict. Though long pants does save you from getting bit by mosquitos.

  2. My husband and I have been to many resorts all-inclusive and non-inclusive. So you can say we have been there, did that.

Some restaurants are very casual like the buffet restaurants, you can wear shorts and a t-shirt and sandals. In the ala carte restaurants long pants (khakis) and a shirt with a collar. My husband wears his boat shoes. They are closed toe.  Check the resorts website, they sometimes list the dress code for the different restaurants.

I personally think jeans are too hot for the tropics. A nice pair of Dockers/Khakis are more comfortable.

We would pack 5 pairs of long pants for my husband and he would end up wearing 2 of them. So pack light on slacks.

    Enjoy)

  3. a collared shirt is usually best. tie is optional.
